PROZAC BLAMED FOR YOUTH'S MURDER SPREEWhen 16 year old Jeff Weise murdered 10 people, including himself, on the Red Lake Indian Reservation, nobody thought things could get worse. But now Louis Jourdain, the 16 year old son of tribal chairman Floyd "Buck" Jourdain is in federal custody on
charges of conspiring with Weise to commit murder. Apparently emails and other computer dialogues were recovered which showed Louis and Jeff had discussed the attack on the school.
The elder Jourdain, who describes his son as "My pride and joy" on his personal internet site, believes his son will be cleared of the charges. In an article which appeared in the Star Tribune Jourdain said, "I've got a good son. It doesn't matter what anybody says about him or what dingbat stuff he says on the Internet," he said. "He's just a good boy who is in a jam right now. The only thing he's guilty of is being Jeff Weise's friend."
Jourdain says his son is scared. Louis Jourdain, who never spent more than 2 nights in a row away from home, is now in federal custody awaiting a decision as to whether he will be tried as a juvenile or an adult.
"I know this hurts right now," Buck Jourdain said. "But there is a better day coming. We will learn to smile again."
