According to an article in the South Florida Sun - Sentinel, the Seminole Tribe of Florida recently bought the Hard Rock Cafe Chain from a British Company.
The $965 million dollar purchase price includes 2 hotels, 3 casino hotels, and 124 cafes - in addition to the world's largest collection of rock and roll memorabilia.
Among the 70,000 pieces are Jimi Hendrix's Flying V guitar, one of Madonna's bustiers, and a pair of Elton John's high-heeled shoes.
According to James Allen, Gaming CEO for the Seminole Tribe, 25 to 50 Hard Rock hotels could be opened in the next decade, hopefully insuring the Seminole People a prosperous future.
