UPDATE--YAHOO AND MAC AFEE TARGET NATIVE AMERICAN WEBSITE SNOWWOWL.COM

NEW CAMPAIGN AGAINST SNOWWOWL.COM-July 1, 2008
MAC AFFEE'S FINAL WORD-June 18, 2008
ORIGINAL ARTICLE - May 30, 2008

Osiyo Brother and Sisters,

Mac Afee has written us and said that as long as there is any email address listed in the GuestBook, that the warning against the site will remain. Furthermore that we must remove the email form field from all forms.

To remove the email addresses or the space to enter them on forms, would mean that we and any others would not be able to respond to the many questions asked. We are not going to change what we have done since day one. We would be cutting off access to information that many seek.

We just found out that another website that we created for Art Mc Kellips, a Native American, has been targetted. Mac Afee claims that an address they created received spam emails. Now I know what they are doing is bogus--Art Mc Kellips, like Snow Owl, has passed over and no new addresses, other than personal friends of Art, have been put in a year. So there is no address sent by MacAfee that has received spam.

If they can make a false claim against this one site, how many others are being falsely accused? Where is their credibility? It would seem anyone with an email address, other than their own, on their website could be targetted, if Mac Afee so chooses, and have no recourse.

Mac Afee and Yahoo can try and keep people away from the sites. We have done what we can do, we have put the information there for those that want to find it.

If Mac Afee and Yahoo change their policy, we will let you know.

In the meantime, there are more important issues that need our attention.

Mitakuye Oyasin!

NEW UPDATE--Below is the Mac Afee reply to my request for the email address that received the spam after their "claim" it was on the snowwowl.com website.

Hello,

Unfortunately, we can't send any emails, dates we tested, email addresses we used, or anything that could potentially identify and thus jeopardize us or our methods.

Please let me know if you have any other questions regarding SiteAdvisor in the future.

Sincerely,
Jim

This is very convenient, considering that I know for a fact that no unknown email address has been added to the artmckellips.com website in a year. So it was NOT tested. It does, however, have a GuestBook with email addresses that were voluntarily given and it is a Native American website.

It is interesting that they claim the test they did to artmckellips.com, also caused exactly 12 spam emails and the exact same ones as snowwowl.com.

It all comes down to this-we are guilty because "they say so".

Today, I reported Mac Afee and Yahoo to IC3 for the fraud they are perpetrating on the public. They are fraudulently scaring people into thinking websites are unsafe, in order to promote themselves and their products.

Anyone who uses the Yahoo search engine is being given false information, and thus is a victim of their fraud. They can report this fraud at https://complaint.ic3.gov/Default.aspx.

If your website has been targeted unjustly by Yahoo and Mac Afee, they have libeled your website, and you too are a victim of their fraud. The Mac Afee ads all over the details of their warnings, shows this is being done strictly for monetary reasons, and is no different than a man coming into your house and claiming you need repairs that you don't need, in order to sell his services.

If we all stand up, then something can happen.
